At Stryder Eco Village, our mission is to design and build not only warm, healthy, sustainable housing but also vibrant papakāinga whenua communities where we create entire sustainable villages for you and your whānau. We cater to your needs from the ground up with precise planning and care in every detail.
We don’t just offer homes; we offer a community. Through partnerships with local organizations, including budgeting services, we ensure you have the support you need. Our homes come with affordability, sustainability, and green energy systems, all rooted in the importance of tikanga papakāinga whenua.
As a wrap-around business, we are committed to supporting, enhancing, and teaching our clients and community members. Our whānau-run ecosystem provides comprehensive resources and services, ensuring a nurturing space where dreams become reality and future generations can thrive. Join us in creating a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
At Stryder Eco Village, our vision extends far beyond the construction of homes; we are dedicated to building a resilient and empowered community. We are committed to future-proofing our next generation by upskilling and teaching our youth, equipping them with taonga that they can carry forward to enhance their papakāinga and uplift their people.
We believe in the power of the ripple effect: "Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects" (Dalai Lama). By investing in our youth, we plant the seeds for a brighter future that will continue to flourish for generations to come.
Our commitment to strengthening our infrastructure is rooted in empowering our people from the core. By hiring and collaborating with local Māori companies and organizations, we ensure that every aspect of our growth benefits our community. Stryder Eco Village is more than just a place to live; it is a one-stop shop where homes are built, futures are crafted, and legacies are forged for all.

This project is dedicated to
Whitinga Gordon Harris
Stryder Eco Village was born from the dreams and deep conversations shared within our family, bound by love for our whānau and community. Our lion logo reflects the pride and unwavering vision that Whitinga and we all held close—to create a future where our papakāinga and our people could thrive. The name "Stryder" represents our unity as a young family, driven by love and the belief in a brighter, better future for ourselves, our pepi, and our people—bound together by a passion to serve and uplift our communities.
In 2019, our hearts were shattered when we lost Whitinga after his courageous battle with cancer. We had rallied communities across the country to support him, and though his journey ended too soon, the outpouring of love we received reminded us of the power of collective strength and compassion. This journey has only deepened our resolve to keep his dreams alive and give back to the people.
Whitinga was more than just a pioneer and a leader; he was a devoted partner, loving father, brother, uncle, and son. His spirit lives on in Stryder Eco Village, guiding us to build a future filled with love, unity, and the determination to honor his legacy while uplifting our whānau. This village is dedicated to you brother that through your dreams and our hard work we will help foster the very essence of sustainable healthy papakainga living for our communities whilst creating an empire that is as stedfast, strong, resilient and unwavering as you.
Your final roar shook the earth and rippled across the seas.
Your dreams and visions will forge an everlasting legacy
